“Downtown Rutland’s Annual Chili Challenge”: We make it hot, hot, hot in Downtown Rutland’s with our Ninth Annual Chili Challenge. In 2006 over 500 people enjoyed a fall foliage afternoon in Center Street Alley tasting chili prepared by groups, individuals and restaurant professionals and voting for their favorite. This year the chili challenge will be held on Saturday, October 13 from 11-3. The Thunder Road Band will be providing live music. Admission will be charged.
